Scanmetals A/S re-certified for End-of-Waste status by Kiwa
Scanmetals A/S is pleased to announce that the company has once again been given the End-of-Waste certification by Kiwa, a leading international certification organization. The re-certification confirms that the recovered non-ferrous metal treated at Scanmetals’ facilities meet the stringent requirements for use as secondary raw materials under the EU Waste Framework Directive.
The End-of-Waste status ensures that these recovered metals are no longer classified as waste, but as quality-assured raw materials that can be used directly in new production processes. This contributes to a more resource-efficient and circular economy by reducing the need for virgin materials and enabling high-quality metal recycling.
“This re-certification validates our continued commitment to innovation, quality, and environmental compliance and it confirms that our processes meet the highest industry standards.” Says Lars Fuglsang, CEO at Scanmetals
The End-of-Waste criteria cover not only product quality but also traceability, documentation, and environmental performance. Scanmetals A/S has held this certification since 2019, and the renewed certification process was completed in close collaboration with Kiwa.
Scanmetals would like to extend its sincere thanks to Kiwa for their professionalism and partnership throughout the re-certification process.
